Last week I drove to work and my car was working just fine. Then when I went to leave to pick up some checks I couldn’t get my car to shift out of gear. I had my dad try and he couldn’t do a thing. Nothing would budge no matter what. It was towed into the shop and so I had to wait for the verdict. Turns out there was a shortage in the electrical that allows me to shift gears. So that was going to cost $300.00 and that sucks but wasn’t too bad. Then I found out my brakes were really worn and they needed to be rotated for $200.00 but my dad said they might as well replace the brakes so it was instead another $300.00. THEN my car had to get a full service because it had been a while and I do drive pretty far to even get to my school since its two states away. That cost another $350.00. They wanted to replace my windshield, that has a crack going through the middle, for $200.00+ but I said no, since I know some place else that could do it for about $100.00. So now my total bill is $1,050.00 and my life sucks. There goes a chunk of money that was going to be put towards college. My dad thankfully offered to pay half of it, but I still owe $525 then, and with my windshield being replaced that will bring me to a total of $650. Man my life sucks. That means I am going to be $700 short for affording school and I can’t get a single scholarship. Results for one that I applied for comes out this week but I have to wait for the letter. I am hoping/praying/dying for it, since it will be $1,000 and I can really use it. So right now I am trying to figure out how in the world I am going to come up with $700 extra dollars when I all ready save more than 3/4/ths of my check each week to pay for school. I had everything budgeted out and now it has all gone down the toilet.
